New Horizons Academy

Founded in 1974 the New Horizons Academy is a nonprofit private school that assists students with learning differences The academy offers classes in reading science social studies and math It provides instruction in art music computer technology social skills development and physical and character education The New Horizons Academy also offers afterschool enrichment classes that feature activities such as dance drama golf tennis cooking and basketball The academy provides auditorium gymnasium and playground for service organizations and businesses on a rental basis In addition it manages a parentteacher organization The academy s preschool accepts children from six weeks through kindergarten The New Horizons Academy publishes a newsletter
